Grade Placement

From an administrative perspective,  grade placement is a useful tool for categorizing students and data.  At CHeS we use grade placement for reporting to the Ministry of Education.

From a learning perspective, the student’s point of optimal learning gain is of the most importance.  This is the point we seek to identify in our in-depth Fall assessments.  During this process CHeS staff will take the time to listen, assess, suggest, explore options with you, and to select resources geared toward your child’s learning potential.   Academic progress will be reported to the Ministry of Education in terms of gains on Provincial Learning Outcomes as laid out in the student learning plan.
